Fast Weekend Updates
The past few days was really hectic for me. I hardly had the time and energy to stay online as usual. I came back home from work very exhausted because of some extra job at work. That’s fine. Now that it’s a Sunday, I can have ample rest, wake up late, bath my kids, and of course do a little bit of blogging 😉
Earlier this week as I pumped in some petrol in my Kancil, I saw and read a piece of A4 paper pasted on the pump machine and it reads:
So, it’s a case of an irresponsible driver stealing petrol. Civic problem…not Honda civic problem!!! Here in Malaysia, some petrol stations will allow us to fuel up until our tank is full if we inform them and pay with cash. Some would not because of the problem stated in the photo above. Even if we want to fuel RM20 or RM50 worth of petrol, we must pay first before pumping the oil. This is totally opposite from the system in United Kingdom. When I was doing my first degree in UK, I owned a car, which means I need to pump some petrol. The system there requires us to inform how much petrol we want to purchase, fuel it up and finally pay. The payment part is left behind and the people are honest enough to pay the amount of petrol they purchase. Can we apply the same principle in our country?
I’m not involved with any of the above method because I pay petrol using my Manchester United credit card 🙂
Once in a while it’s really good spending time reading for the kids at the book store. My kids love reading book. We did not spend hours there, instead we bought a few kids book and left to do some window shopping.
Recently, 2 of my school friends passed away (different cases) at an early age of 31 years old. Both of them died because heart failure. Currently, a friend of mine (also 31) is also having a heart problem and continuously come and go to Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Bahru for treatment. All of these opened our eyes wide enough to make sure we appreciate and take a really good care of our health, eating habit and life style. We must also remember that death can happen anytime and anywhere. Death is not only for old sick people. Young and healthy people can die as well…
Last month, I’ve experienced severe bad headache and after visiting our family doctor, he checked on me and said my blood pressure was slightly on higher side. Since that, I was on a totally strict diet to improve my blood pressure. At work, my senior colleague brought an easy to use digital blood pressure monitor to help me check my blood pressure. Not only me, but the entire office mates checked their blood pressure using this portable equipment. All of us including me have a normal blood pressure. Luckily, now my headache have reduced and I think I’m OK now. However, I’m planning to get my blood checked just in case. What about you?
Being wireless is really cool. Above, you can see 2 new sophisticated gorgeous laptops connected to the net outside the house. One belongs to me while the other one is my neighbour’s new HP Compact Pavilion. We were browsing in the early morning (1-5 AM) while performing our duty to protect the neighborhood from the villains!!! In other words, we are involved in > Kumpulan Rukun Tetangga (KRT). Once every fortnight, in the breezing cold Thursday morning, I’ll stay up to participate in the voluntary KRT group. We take turns to guard our dwelling zone from nasty robbers and evil regime.
I like KRT because there are two direct good impacts from participating with it: We get to know our neighbours better; AND No more crime taking place in our community. In addition to that, we also organize various other activities which include playing Family day, Hari Raya Celebration, Merdeka celebration, futsal, fishing and others. More and more activities have been planned for the coming future.
I’m online even at the play ground (in front of my house) while looking after my kids alongside my wife while they are playing at the playground (after coming back from work on a Saturday). I’m really utilizing my wireless network and laptop now 🙂 .
This is my newborn 40 days old nephew named Zayd. He’s sleeping peacefully in his father’s Honda City. He’s really healthy and love sleeping.
3 hours before the 5th round FA Cup live battle between two English Club giants commenced, my father (an Arsenal die hard fan) called me, asking me to wake him up at 0100 Hours. The time arrived and I called him. He woke up and watched the game. At half time, he SMS me and said, “Sleeping is better than watching the humiliating game!!!”. Why?? Very simple…. because Manchester United trashed the Gunners 3-0 at half time…
At the end, Red Devil won 4-0 (in fact it can be more than that) leaving the Arsenal fan deep cut wound inside their heart. Oh yea….The Red Liverpool also swallowed an embarrassing home defeat from Barnsley. What a massive blow!
yeah…that’s me. Too exhausted to be online this past few nights due to some really hectic job at work.
p/s. What do you think about my new header?
