Friday Night Ramblings
Time is moving very fast and suddenly it is already end of the week. Everybody loves weekend and that includes me as well. So, for a start, what shall I do tonight? Typically, my Friday evening will be blogging, surfing and watching any movie in the bulb tube (I don’t have any LCD TV yet, I know the owner of Melayu Boleh just bought one).
After a simple dinner, I just comfort myself watching the prime news, a documentary of Najib as the 6th Malaysia’s Prime Minister (TV3) and now entertaining myself with “One In A Million” (8TV) + blogging (writing this post). I’m not a regular One In A Million fan, but I can say I prefer watching this reality show compared to the gloomy “Akademi Fantasia” (Astro Ria). The contestants are very talented especially “Tomok” (from the band New Boys) and “Amelia” (Ex-Akademi Fantasia 3). I will make sure myself watch both of them sing because they can beautifully adjust and modify the song and make it unique, not following the original song. You should see how Tomok sang “Umbrella” (original singer Rihanna). He sang the song his way – fast unique pop rock tempo. No wonder he was awarded 2 immunities recently. For the others, I will just listen to the other contestants and not really watch them.
I haven’t decided whether to travel north to Sepang to witness a live Formula 1 race. I’m not sure. Let’s just see. If I go, I have to catch up with the Manchester United premier league game at 11 pm. I’ll be up until 1am and the next day I will be attending a 2 days course on Social Statistics. I’m not sure if my stamina allows me to do that. I have grown older and I quickly get tired and sleepy.
My online activity momentum has suddenly decreased this week and I don’t know why? I don’t think I have spent that much time working on my online empire. Maybe I was distracted by my Google Adsense earning which has reduced in March, compared to a 28 days February. I’m still withdrawing the cash every month via Western Union but I guessed that most advertiser are not spending much on their Adwords campaign. Luckily my Revresponse income has shown excellent progress this year.
If you cash out your Adsense Money via Western Union, do you notice that the bank officer will xerox your identity card and other details? I was always worried because I thought that they’ll keep those papers for Bank Negara and it will be reflected in my income tax! I asked the female bank officer about it just now while withdrawing my February earning and she explained – it is a requirement by Western Union and not other parties. Western Union fear genius thief stealing money by falsifying their identity.
OK, to end up tonight’s rambling, I’m going to list few stuffs that I would like to have. So, in case you want to buy me a present for my birthday in May, you already know what I want… 🙂
In no particular order:
– A new digital camcorder, I don’t mind brand, it can be a JVC, Panasonic or Sony camcorder. I prefer the one with a built in hard disc. The cost will be roughly RM1,000 plus.
– iPhone 3G 16GB. Refer here why I like it. I’m no longer interested with Sony Ericsson C905. Cost is around RM2,700 if purchased in Singapore. Not a good deal if purchased via Maxis iPhone package. Too expansive.
– DSLR Nikon D90. I want this. The current cost is roughly RM 5,000 plus. It’s an excellent camera and it can also record quality videos too. Catzer, what type of DSLR you are using? For your info, Budeen plans to sell his Nikon D40.
– Digital photo frame. I think a 10″ digital photo frame will look cool in my living room. What do you think?
