Life Mini Report from Kota Kinabalu…
It was my initial intention to provide a daily update on our activities in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, unfortunately it is tough to do so. I had earlier planned to do so in the very first day and first night we landed in KK. However due to 2 reasons, which are time limitation and technicult Mac PC difficulties, I was not able to do so. However, I can say so far that our days in KK is beautiful.
OK, so let me just provide a brief over view on my activities so far. I’ll later elaborate and provide a so called comprehensive report on our days in Kota Kinabalu.
1st day – Wednesday
Depart from LCCT terminal in Sepang to Kota Kinabalu International Airport
Arrived at airport and grabbed a taxi to Novotel Hotel which is located at 1Borneo complex, Alam Mesra.
After some rest, we had dinner in Restoran Chicken Rice Shop in 1Borneo Mall, just beside Novotel Hotel.
2nd day – Thursday
Tasted some splendid breakfast at Novotel Hotel.
Brought the kids to the pool, located on the 7th floor of the hotel. Nice view, open air plus some section is covered with the roof top.
Travelled to Plaza Warisan on a free shuttle bus provided by Sabah Tourism from 1Borneo Mall. I’m really impressed with the free service and punctuality.
Spend some time shopping at Philipino Market (now it’s called Art Market) and enjoyed dinner “ikan bakar” etc behind the Art Market.
Returned home by the same shuttle bus.
3rd day – Friday
Same breakfast as yesterday.
Took the shuttle bus again to Plaza Warisan and then a cab to Jefferson jetty. Booked a boat to Manukan island. Bargained like crazy to get everything cheaper. Swimming and scuba diving snorkling of course. At 4pm, returned to Jefferson jetty, took a cab back to Novotel hotel. Watched movie at our hotel room.
Went for a speed dinner at White House Coffee and rushed back to hotel room to watch Nur Kasih…hehe…
4th day – Saturday
After breakfast, took an Iswara that we rent it for RM70. We then traveled to Mount Kinabalu Kaki gunung. Cool and very beautiful place. We did also went to Kundasang and went to the Fort Memorial. Very nice… I recommend this place, not to be missed…
Then with the same car, we went to Night Market at Kota Kinabalu. It’s a shopping heaven for ladies, I can say. The jewelaries are cheap and real.
Then we went for dinner at Gayang restaurant. God, I hate this place. We were recommended to go to this place for sea food by a friend. However, I found this place very irritatingly expansive and secluded… Not recommended if you want good cheap place…
Sunday…. No further plan yet…
I’ll upload the photos later when I arrive to JB, InsyaAllah next Monday. But, maybe I’ll be very exhausted, so expect it to be posted on Tuesday or Wednesday….
OK, got to have some rest… Good night… regards from Kota Kinabalu…
p/s: Cash consumed so far…upto RM1,5k ++ not including room hotel (5 nights) and air fairs.. Oh gosh…why the money flows like water???
