My Wife just Passed her Ph.D
I would like to share this wonderful glorious moment. My wife just passed her Ph.D VIVA yesterday after 4 years of battle in her Chemical Engineering degree. The journey finally come to an end and she earned the title Dr. in front of her name. However she needs to complete some minor correction before sending it to one of the internal examiners for final checking of the corrections.
You can read the moments one day before the VIVA here and the moment just after the VIVA session here.
Now it is my turn to speed up and complete my Ph.D study (also in Chemical Engineering).
Oh yes… in case you wonder, my research and hers’ is totally opposite. I’m more involved in high temperature catalytic reactions while my wife is inclined to crystallization separation in extreme low temperatures. I just entered my 3rd semester and I am given time until June 2012 to complete my Ph.D. I hope I have the power, will and strength to complete my study excellently.
How about you?

Congratulations to your missus. I’m sure you’re proud of her achievement. Don’t worry, you’ll get your PhD eventually. I know 2012 is still more than a year away, but you still have to get things going. You’ll never know what you might encounter along the way. And good luck to you

Yeah… you are right. The viva was 2 weeks ago…but most importantly, she successfully handed in the correction and hard cover thesis yesterday.
