Our Kids First Day School Today
Today is the first day of school for our kids, Ikhwan, Marsya and Alya. We went out of the house as early as 6.45am since the kids need to be in the school before 7am. I know some people come out of the house even as early as 5.30am. Luckily our house and the work place and school is close by. So we don’t need to get out of the house earlier.
I just want to share one thing here which is the cost of food in the school canteen. Our kids were brought to the canteen by their respective teacher. We were there to monitor how our kids were doing. What caught my attention was the cost of food sell to the students. Check out the cost breakdown below:
Alya at the canteen. She bought a doughnut (30 cent per piece). She sat beside her good friend.
Standard 1 students brought to the canteen by their teacher. The teachers voice is so loud!!!
Very plain nasi lemak – RM1.00 (Unfortunately I lost the nasi lemak photo – accidentally deleted!!!)
Syrup in plastic cup – RM0.30 ~ I think it should be 20 cent!!!
Kuih – RM1 ( 3 pieces) ~ Too expensive for primary school!!!
Kuih – RM0.30 (1 piece) ~ Too expensive for primary school!!!
Roti canai – RM0.70 (I think this price is very ridiculous!!!)
Do you think the price is reasonable?
What do you think is the reasonable spending money for them for this school session?
RM1.00 / RM1.50 / RM2.00 / RM2.50 / RM3.00 / other amount?.
In the afternoon we were busy handling and arranging the religion school for our kids. We switched the religion school from UTM to Kangkar Pulai. So, this is a new school for all the kids. The tricky part is the school sessions are different between classes. Ikhwan’s class starts at 2.00-4.00pm, Marsya’s class starts at 3.30-5.00pm while Alya’s class starts at 2.00-3.30pm. We have to coordinate the transportation for them. So, after this we can let them travel back and forth to/from the religion school using the transport (van).
I think that’s enough for today’s first day schooling experience. I’ll share more of the cost, fees etc for these 3 kids of ours.

klu kat warung tepi jalan mmg jual harga tu kan…
tpi my fren ckp, sekolah adik dia jual air batu malysia panjang tu pun 30sen tpi isi sket, tak panjang pun, dia uat pendek je…siot kan.. amik untung lebih…

Biasanya, nilai hrga makanan kat sekolah punya canteen patut lebih murah, bukan macam kat kedai or gerai kat luar…KAlau roti canai kosong sejuk dan keras harga 70 sen…memang tak patut…harga kat kedai mamak pun 80 sen dan dpt lembut dan panas…
