7 Best Tips To Get More Done

I bet all of you have your daily routine job either as an employee, student, business owner or whatever you are doing. Being that, you definitely have tasks to do on a daily basis. Some of the task may require longer time to be accomplished. Take myself as an example, I am a full time Ph.D student. I have a goal to target which is to complete my Ph.D in 2012. For that reason, I need to optimize my time and triple my effort as well as balance activities (family and social etc).

For that reason, I have devised a strategy in order for my goal(s) to be achieved. Here, I would like to share with you some of the tips of getting more work to be done. For that reason, I have gathered all points and arranged them into 7 Best Tips to Get More Work Done. I hope it will be beneficial for you. Check it out…

1. Organization

If you are trying to get more things done, then organization should be the main thing that you should focus on. When you are organized, you will realize that things just seem to run smoother. Whether it is with your belongings or with your schedule, you will need to make sure that things are organized. For me, I will jot down my daily activities in my blue book and start working on it one by one until everything is successfully done. It is simple and you can do it too.

2. Time Management

When you manage your time correctly, you will surely get more things done. This means that you should make use of every hour of the day and try your best to stay productive at all times. For example, if you are an employee and come to work from 8 to 5, then concentrate on your job with full heart during office hour (official working time). Then, after that at home you are free to do other activities. For your information, I don’t blog or reply comment during office hour. If you see me doing that, I am not working on that particular day.

3. Focus

While you are working, you will need to remain focused at all times. Remember that you do not want to waste any time and it is important to try your best to not distracted by little things like the internet and other minor distractions. Simple example – When you need to focus, stay away from the internet. The internet in this context is the devil that will always interrupt and distract you to focus. It’s tough, I know but you need to be discipline.

4. Nutrition

You will need to understand that nutrition is something very crucial towards your focus throughout the day. An unhealthy diet will lead to an up and down day that will lead to less focus. If you are able to eat a healthy diet, you will see an increase in your focus. However do not over eat. From my personal experience, when I eat more, I tend to get sleepy and my productivity decreases. So, eat optimally.

5. Sleep

Getting enough sleep is very important and 8 hours a day should be the minimum. If you happen to feel tired during the day, then a 15 minute nap will have you up and ready in no time. This is easier written that getting done. I’m struggling to get a good 8 hours sleep. However, I need to highlight this for you and me. Try to get good 8 hours sleep a day.

6. Energy

You will be energetic after this short nap (mentioned in previous point) and you will be able to get this energy from caffeine. However, you do not want to take caffeine 5 hours before you sleep as it can stop you from getting a good night of sleep. I used to take 30 to 45 minutes nap when I was working as an engineer before. It’s really good and I was not sleepy at all during the day although I slept only 4-5 hours a day.

7. Taking a Break

Sometimes working too hard can wear you down and so you will simply need to take a break to see more things get done in the future. Take a break and you will then be back to work with a new sense of motivation. Plan and go for a holiday or trip. It will be rewarding and you’ll get your energy and momentum back after that.

    tapi about Time Management tu, for me klu ada terluang sket masa bru sempat blog… tapi skang selalu blog after ofis hour… and too bad, i selalu tak sempat reply komen…huhu

    but thank god i bukan kaki FB… kdang2 smpai seminggu tak login…main FB masa keje lagi teruk kan .. hehehe…

    and psl Sleep lak, jaranglah mereka berstatus ’emak’ dpt tido 8 jam tu… dpt 6 jam pun dah cukup bagus…
    utk bapak boleh lah 😉

    Takpe…buat semampunya. About sleep…Please don’t think that all father have enough sleep. For example, yesterday, I have to wake 3 times in the middle of the night (morning actually) to give my children medicine on separate occasions. Then the mother also cannot sleep because kes buatan orang, pun kena di teman juga… Ngantuk wehhh…

    Senaman juga penting. Tak kisahla nak berjalan ke, jogging ke, futsal ke…badan kita akan rasa lebih sedap lepas tu.
