Today, under the heat of the shining sun, I glanced at my Casio G-Shock Riseman, it showed 34 celcius. Quit warm and humid outside there. I rushed my 7 year old silver Kancil to the line of shops in Taman Universiti, a place that you can find almost everything under the sun. Sometimes, I think Taman Universiti is bigger than Kangar in Perlis. Maybe I’m wrong.

I was in a mission. It was not the Mission Impossible series, like the one featuring Tom Cruise. I was actually in a mission to get a brand new pair of soccer boot since I’m going to play in a friendly soccer game later after working and cracking my brain with something called Thermodynamic. My old soccer boots which I borrowed to my younger brother, 3 months ago, could not be used anymore. It’s torn apart. Maybe because it’s not of good quality. That tragedy implied I need to get a better one this time, the one that can last longer.

Today's afternoon, I surveyed 3 shops and I found what I want in the 3rd and final shop which is Al-Ikhsan Sport Shops in Taman Universiti, Johor. I bought a pair of Lotto soccer boots.

There were so many choices. There are white, blue, red, yellow soccer boots. However, I don't want my foot ware to be so fancy on the field. I'm quite old already and I don't want to indirectly show case some sort of shiny fluorescent soccer boots. So, at the end, I opted for a simple black with florescent green decoration. I think it looks fine and perfectly suited me.

This Lotto soccer boot has the Italian identity colour... Red-White-Green. Is Lotto from Italy? I'm not sure. Do you know?

I expected to play in the second half. However, I was needed 10 minutes before half time because one of the players was too exhausted. We are not professional or semi-pro players that play foot ball all the time. We are just seasonal football players. We only play during the inter-department football match. That’s all. That’s the reason most of us are not fit and have such a low stamina.

The score in the first half was 1-2. We were the trailing team. At the opening of second half, surprisingly, we played better and we managed to lead 3-2. But soon after that, exhaustion conquered us. Many of us are too tired. The opponent catches up and the result became 4-4. Unfortunately, inside the dying minutes, a silly defensive error resulted in our first defeat of the first season. We lost 4-5 to this team.
