My time has been very hectic the past week. From Monday till Friday, I have different activities and occasions going on involving various parties. On Monday, I was busy with my wife handling our maid’s passport renewal and permit. On Tuesday I had a meeting with one of my business partner and client in Johor Bahru. On Wednesday, I had a technical visit under Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) to Tanjung Bin Power Station, Pontian (which is just next to Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas but we cannot use that route due to a huge river separating Tanjung Bin and PTP). Then on Thursday and Friday I organized and participated in CREG Journal Writing and Publication Workshop.

The objective of this workshop is to prepare and submit technical research manuscript to journal by the end of the wokshop session. This is very imperative for researchers and academician which is to publish their research findings in reputable journals which has impact factor. For your information, publishing in journal like this is very tough. It is not simple and easy. It is far from writing a blog post or blog entry in your own blog. Once you submitted your manuscript, it will be evaluated by the editor of the journal. Then, if the editor thinks the manuscript is up to the standard and requirement, they will forward it to 2-3 reviewers to technical review the research manuscript.

That's me and my Ph.D colleague from Iran. We were talking to our supervisor (professor). At the far end, is my colleague from Pakistan who has already passed his Ph.D viva last year.

After that, if the manuscript will have several comments and we need to make corrections. After making corrections they will accept it to be published in journal. Well, those are the situation if everything is positive. But most likely the success rate of publishing in a journal is low. Meaning it is not easy to publish. So, we need to keep on trying.

You should have the content, results, discussion. Then only you can easily structure the sentence. Also, refer to other papers that has been published.

Reading journal is easier compared to writing journal. Writing journal is easier to getting the manuscript published.
