Not My Traditional Saturday Morning
I woke up as early as 5 am, did some email checking and some spiritual activities. Then, after Subuh prayer, I had a short nap before sending my kids to school. Marsya and Alya have Kem Bistari Solat (Learn How To Pray Camp) while Ikhwan has Pesatuan Bulan Sabit Merah (Something like St. John Ambulance). All of these are their co-curricular activities. After sending them to school, I had my breakfast alone at Restoran Kasim, a 24 hour mamak restaurant between my house and UTM.
I ordered one dish that I have not ordered before. It was tosey. I know from a senior colleague at my old working place that tosey is healthier than roti canai and others such as nasi lemak, mee goreng etc. Tosey does not contain any oil. While nasi lemak has the coconut milk component which can contribute to the increase in cholesterol. All those “goreng” (fried stuff) has the oily content that also will contribute to cholesterol. That’s why I ordered tosey and ate it alone. Once in a while I sipped my teh tarik. The tosey has some slight sour taste. That’s why sometimes when I need the help from the teh tarik (which contain lots of sugar) to bring the crushed tosey down to my stomach.
After breakfast, I went to the office. As expected, nobody was around as it is a Saturday. I’m planning to study my thermodynamics calculation and modelling for the next 3-4 hours before fetching my kids from school.
Later in the afternoon, there will be a “kenduri”. Somebody behind my house is marrying his son/daughter (not sure which one). If I have the time, I’ll go and visit them. If not, I’ll just skip it. The reason is that at 2.00 pm, I’ll be having an business appointment at IskandarMalaysia Information Center (IMIC).
After my business meeting, Ill probably bring my kids for some recreational activities. Not sure where to bring yet. If they want to check out the horses in UTM, I’ll probably bring them there. Otherwise, I’ll bring there somewhere else they are interested to go.
Night time… Not sure yet, what will be the activities. I’m thinking of asking my kids to complete all their homeworks.
I think that’s some update for now.
