I thought I can rest and continue sleeping in the morning on a peaceful rainy Saturday. However, my kids wanted to run in their school’s first Cross-Country Running. So, we exited our house as early as 7.00 am because the registration was supposed to be at 7.30 am. Unlike other morning, the saturday morning is raining and raining. The run was supposed to start earlier. However, because of the rain, the race did not started at the scheduled time. I assumed the school cross-country committee perhaps did not think for an alternative back-up but after a while I was wrong. They started to make warm-up activities and some aerobic. That’s quite interesting.

At 9.00 am, I was bored already. So, I joined my wife and Alya in our White Proton Exora parked outside of the school compound. Then, I sleep in the car! After a while, around 9.30am, my wife woke me up and said the kids are already lining up to race. The rain has not stop yet. I rushed outside the car and walked to the school foyer and waited for the race status. They decided to start the race because everybody were so excited to run despite of the rain not stopping yet. However, we were lucky because the rain is not that heavy. It was a tiny droplets of rain. So, I assumed they think it was OK to commence the race. The first batch of boys were released. Then another batched of boys from different standard were released. Then the parents were released. I was there and I raced as well… Then, what happened?

Check out the photos below… OK … Oh…I forgot to snap some photos when I run. I also forgot to inform my wife to snap the photos when we run. So, no photos when we run.

This moment was caught by me inside my Samsung Galaxy Ace after finishing the race. Many students and parents arrived at various times. After completing the race they need to register their names.

Then food was served. They provided simple meal. A packed of mee-hun, 2 cakes (curry puff and doughnut) and a bottle of mineral water. Everybody is hungry and thirsty and all were enjoying themselves in the school canteen including me and my family.

Me after the race. We have to buy the orange T-shirt to participate in the cross-country run. The adult T-shirt (that I'm wearing in the photo) cost me RM25. The quality is good but the V neck shape is too big and looks not really cool to me and the others. The design is generally OK but I hope next time the school will design a better T-shirt for the event.

Daddy, son and daughter who participated in the school cross country run. How do we looked? Pretty exhausted for sure but still have some room to show an excited face.

These are the medals for the winners.

And guess what... I won the second place for Father's Category. Interesting huh! Unfortunately, Ikhwan and Marsya did not won anything. But it was OK, at least I hope when they saw their father stepped in front and received the medal from the head master, I hope they'll be motivated to work, play and run harder to achieve success.

Marsya's Blue House group posing after the event has ended. Several medals were won by the Blue house group member. Marsya is standing somewhere at the center.

That’s it for the first part of a very early Saturday. There are more to come and to be reported. However, I’ll update later. Sleepy…
