Scanning Our Baby
The entire family has been very excited with the coming of a new family member soon. Not just the parents but the Ikhwan, Marsya and Alya as well. We have been waiting for the correct moment to scan the baby. Our first attempt to scan took place about 1 month ago in the “University Health Center” (Pusat Kesihatan Universiti), however, the scanner there was quite old. It cannot clearly and distinctively show our baby. Although we printed out the scan result, but we cannot see anything because everything was blur.
Then the second attempt, we went to our clinic panel in Sri Putri. We waited for 2 hours because there were too many patients waiting to meet the doctor. After a long wait, we finally met the doctor but to our disappointment, the scan machine just broke down. Not only that, the inconsistency and interrupted power supply made more impossible for the scanner to work. So, all of left the clinic disappointed.
The third time, was yesterday. My wife switched our clinic panel to a closer one to our house. This clinic has better, newer and updated facilities.
At this stage, it is too early to determine whether it’s a boy or girl. The Toshiba scanning machine is good although it is just a 2-dimensional scanner. We can clearly see the baby moving inside the mother. We can see the head, arms-hands, legs and body. It looks healthy and active. Based on the measurement made during the scanning process, the baby is 17 weeks old.
