My Convocation – Finally…
Yesterday (Saturday) 24th May 2014 was one of the very important and meaningful day in my life. It’s my convocation day. It’s the day I am officially awarded my doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering.
My parents were there. This was the first time my parents witnessed my convocation. Previously, when I was doing my undergraduate bachelor in UK, they did not attend because it was too far. Then, for my masters degree, on the very last minute, I did not turn up for my convocation due to my wife was already experiencing the pain to deliver our 2 child. So, this time, I ensured they attend my convocation and they seemed very happy. Alhamdulillah.
Throughout the convocation, I have a mixed feeling. I felt happy, touched, glad, relief, grateful and I always felt like dropping some tears from my eyes. However, I controlled my emotion. I hide the fragile feeling of myself.
Now that I finally completed my studies up to the maximum level, I am dedicating myself to educate our younger generation. I want them to be useful people who will contribute to the society and nation as well as religion.
Hmm… well anyway, following are some highlights during my convocation.
