Published by cyza under Digital Photos

What to do if you want to blog, but you are not in the mood, just like me in this Monday blues?

You post your recent photos… aha….as simple as that…and now you have a blogpost that consists of that thing that can describe a thousand of words… Agree?

Those are random photos taken in March… No particular reason why I picked those photos… Just for the sake of letting you guys see something interesting. To make things spicier, I’ll let you interpret the pictures yourself.

November Rain Updates

Ops, it has been a while since I updated this blog. So, instead of creating several posts, I’m combining several updates.

1. New refrigerator – Sharp SJPT71R

Just bought a new refrigerator. Reason of buying new one: Older refrigerator is not stable anymore. Sometimes it is cold and sometimes not cold. Sometimes it is very very cold. The older refrigerator is of Electrolux which we have been using for the past 8 years.

The new refrigerator is Sharp SJPT71R is very spacious and has digital temperature display in front of it. The average energy consumption is 683 kwH

2. New stove cabinet

At the same time the stove cabinet is already very old does not fit the sophisticated look next to the brand new fridge. So, we bought a new stove cabinet which cost RM139. Luckily we have the spacious Proton Exora, so we can straight away carry the cabinet stove into our MPV and because of that the price was slashed to RM129. Isn’t that great?

3. New digital camera

My younger brother borrowed our Nikon digital camera for his noble activities. At the same time, I was planning to get myself a new digital camera that is small and handy. I love snapping photos especially foods, candid and scenery. Yesterday, I decided to just buy a digital camera at Jusco Taman Universiti. After a lot of thinking and comparing (a) Super Panasonic Lumix water proof and shock proof digital camera and (b) Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS42, I finally chose the latter.

It cost me RM549 + the LCD protective layer RM29. The black coloured body of the Lumix DMC-FS42 (also available in silver) is a 10 MP camera and I received 2Gb memory car, a cool black magnetic cover and a mini tripod.

4. New IM adventure

This is interesting because I’m soon coming out with my own digital product. I am happy and excited with this fact. In addition to that, I have another 2 projects in the line and those 2 products are expected to be released early next year. Just wait for my new digital information product. I’ll announce it later.

5. New birthday girl

It’s my daughter’s birthday. Alya is 4 years old and she’s amazingly a very easy going girl and the most social kid among her older sister and older brother. She wanted a baby doll that can produce sound and she got one yesterday. We are going to celebrate her birthday in a short while after wards.

6. New movie – 2012

We watch 2012 the movie on the very first day when it was launched. It’s a very good movie and I enjoyed in very much. This time, there were 5 of us watching the movie at TGV Jusco Tebrau City, and that include myself, my wife, my mother, my brothers Adi and Arif. It cost us RM61 all together. For me, I personally think that the movie is better than Transformers 2.

Our Kota Kinabalu Trip Photos

Here are some selected photos from our trip to Kota Kinabalu recently. This was the first day. Check it out…

Posing in LCCT airport Sepang. As the deadly Influenza Virus H1N1 is still in action, we have to take extra precaution by wearing the mask all the time. Hmm…I wonder why my belly look that big in this photo??!!

Flying with wings in the AirAsia Airbus 320. We sat near the wings. This is my first time snapping such photos.

My son, Ikhwan, was very excited to be in the Airbus. He read all magazines and ask many questions about the aeroplane.

Traveling with 3 small kids are not easy, but we manage to handled it. Imagine the excitement in them, the loud voice, and not staying still on their chairs.

After 5 minutes flying, Alya slept peacefully. Lega sikit… :)

The air craft is about to land in Kota Kinabalu International Airport. Nice View eh…

Textiles, Senibong, Badminton and Soccer…

We went to Jakel just now. My wife was influence by the ads in the local news paper. Jakel is a textile outlet that has numerous brunches throughout Malaysia. As a guy, I must be honest to say that I don’t like to be in Jakel especially when they do promotions. It’s too crowded and hot! However, here are some snapshots from my sony ericksson K810i which now is not very stable!!!

This photo was taken 2 weeks ago after we brought our kids for a Swim in Kompleks Mutiara, Johor Bahru. We had a dinner and witness the beautiful sunset at Senibong, a famous place to satisfy your apetite. Thanks to the beautiful scenery. You can see Singapore industrial estate from here as well.

This is the Chemical Engineering Faculty badminton team which won the Gold Medal for inter faculty in UTM. We won 3-0 against Faculty of Civil Engineering. I didn’t play in the semifinals and finals because the team already won. However, I felt sorry to myself because my performance is certainly below par. I played badly, not as strong, as sharp and as quick as before. Thanks to my belly which has grown up to size 36!!! The chemical engineering volleyball female team also won gold medal after trashing CICT 2-0. My wife was in the team as well.

This is my brother’s soccer boot. Now, I’m training football as well to play for the faculty senior team. Unfortunately, the schedule is not out yet.

Friday Evening Open House

Published by cyza under Digital Photos, food

Bob, my rear neighbour launched a small gathering for few of his friends and neighbours. As usual, we were invited and walked to his house at 2015 Hrs. As an architect, Bob’s house has interesting interior design and it’s good to please our eyes :) . He and his wife served unique dinner for the guess (at least not typical dishes that we normally have when attending open houses).

Laksa Sarawak – this was the first time I tasted Laksa Sarawak. It doesn’t taste like Laksa Penang or Laksa Johor. It has 40% maggi curry taste… but it is delicious…

Lompiah – I’m not sure whether the spelling is correct or not, but this is certainly my favourite food of the evening. The outer layer is covered with bread crumb and it has some meat inside. Best served with chillie source.

Cup cake – Presentation was brilliant. It is sweet, creamy and has dry coconut topping on top of it. I felt like eating coconut candy.

Sarawak Fruit Cake – This was the second best for me for the evening. It was sweet and fruity, off course :) . The presentation was really attractive. Other host may have just cut the fruit cake and place them on to a plate. This host took the trouble to present it elegantly.

Fruit cocktail – This was my 3rd favourite of the evening. It has lyche and fresh pudings inside the condense milk.

Marhaban in my Neighbourhood

The Muslim community in my neighbourhood began Marhaban today. The marhaban activity will be held for one week and a lot of houses are participating (except mine. I’m going to my parent’s house because they are also hosting marhaban. It coincide with the same day for my street). There were 15 houses participating in marhaban tonight and I just attended 10 of them accompanied by my son… But my son were playing around with the other kids in the block…running here and there…and only find me to drink water… :)

If you see the photos, you’ll see very few people. This is because of 2 reasons:

1. The congregation was split to 2 groups to allow swifter marhaban process.

2. Some people did not fill the house. They stand and chat outside the house – socializing.

Oh yea… I missed taking the photos of the food. There are plenty of foods and I’m extremely full. The 10th house served mee kari, nasi lemak, mee goreng, fruits, bubur kacang etc. That’s house #10 and that’s the last house I attended marhaban tonight. I’m tired to attend marhaban for the remaining 5 houses.
