Yesterday, I accompanied my wife to check out some new laptop to replace her 6 years old Toshiba Portege laptop which has began showing few functionality problems, mainly due to its age. Her work was disrupted because the Toshiba Portege laptop always shut downs without warning besides some other minor issues.
Hence, I have surveyed a few ultra laptops for her and narrowed down to a Lenovo Yoga, a fantastic laptop that has unique physical ability.
The Lenovo Yoga, like its name can actually do yoga by bending it up to 360 degree and also function both as a laptop and tablet. I am not the expert to talk about the technical specification. Hence, to learn more about the real and exact detail specification of this lonovo yoga, just click here.
The Lenovo Yoga come in with 2 colours, black and orange. My wife chose orange because it looks nicer and suits her personality.
In US the Lenovo Yoga is priced at $999. However, the one that we purchased cost RM3399. It does not come with a built in DVD/R/W. However, when we purchase it, a portable DVDRW was given as well. It is Windows 8 operated and this is the first time me and my wife used a Window 8 laptop / computer. So, we better get use to it now. Enough said for now. More review about this will come later as we try it out.
I just learned recently about the release of Samsung Galaxy Grand. Seriously, I never heard of it. I anticipated the release of Samsung Galaxy S4. I don’t really know how great this latest Samsung Galaxy Grand is.
Do I care?
I prefer not to. Many reasons for that. I decided not to read any of the reviews or the videos. Maybe you want to know why… Haha… Well here are 7 reasons I don’t want to get Samsung Galaxy Grand or know the price of it…
1) I already own Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I am one of the earlier owner of Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
2) I am too busy with my reaction kinetic studies which is to be inserted as the final jigsaw puzzle in my ph.D thesis. So, I need to spend my time wisely. p/s… then what about blogging… Blogging is a remedy to my headache… I enjoy blogging…
3) I don’t want to fork out extra money amounting to more than RM2,ooo just for a new and latest gadget such as this Samsung Galaxy Grand. I don’t know the price… So, please don’t assume that the amount stated there is the price of Samsung Galaxy Grand. I need to save some money for the renovation of my new house + it’s furnitures.
However, if you want to know more about this smart phone, please click here. I have make your life easier by listing all the review sites for you as well as related videos, courtesy of Google…
I want to be honest with you. I want to own this cool Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It will be my second Samsung smart phone after the one I purchased and used 1.5 years ago. I’m very eager and I’m waiting the release date of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 this month (October 2012). I have some cash allocated for it and I’ll be contacting my regular hand phone shop to alert me once Samsung Galaxy Note 2 arrives. But before that, let’s make a brief review on this top notch smart phone. This is my review before I purchase Samsung Galaxy Note in Malaysia. I will then later make another of my own personal review after purchasing and using it. Just wait for me ok.
Now that the Samsung Note 2 has arrived, this is high time we give you hands on review about the mean machine. No matter how corny it may sound, or how highly this might sound, The Samsung Note 2 is the best and the most powerful Smartphone around, hands down. With its wonderful 5.5 inch huge display and HD screen, it is sure to catch your attention from the very first view.
Samsung remains Samsung with this phone when it comes to the feel and design, and of course the functionality. The power key is still in the right hand side of the phone like the earlier models, and the headphone port and the home button are also very conveniently placed. It is very easy to handle the phone with a single palm, and the grip is also good.
The Exynos processor with this phone has received a well deserved upgrade, and the frequency has been shot up to a mighty 1.6 GHz, and the 2 GB of RAM only adds to the sheer power of the device. All the videos, the games, the graphics – works like a breeze. The Smartphone is only 9.4 mm thick, which is quite sleek when compared to other phones, and also the screen size, which is 5.5 inches, adds to the list of pros.
Being made out of plastic the Samsung galaxy note 2 is light weight, and perfectly fits the pocket. The design is, however, very similar to that of the other Galaxy models, which could have been changed. The S pens lot is also well placed, and new functionalities like opening the S memo application automatically has been introduced. The air view is also greatly improved, and it is possible to see everything from messages to pictures, without even touching the display, and instead, hovering the S pen over the screen.
Movie viewing experience is another plus point of the model. Of course, the screen is huge when compared to the other Smartphone, and that surely adds to the movie viewing experience, but it is the power of the processor that is really credible. The 2 GB of RAM makes HD movie viewing experience something to remember, and come back to. Even the battery backup is amazing, and you can expect hours of movie viewing without interruptions.
The implementation of Android 4.1 Jellybean is also a new feature for this phone, something that the previous model lacked. Addition of new apps like the Google map, Facebook and others will instantly please the social networking addicts. The only problem of this phone seems to be the size. It is still not a device that will be used by people as a normal phone, but for the more enjoyable tasks like texting, browsing, sending emails, listening to music and watching movies, this seems to be the perfect choice.
Last but not the least; the pricing is bit on a higher side. Priced at about $400 (that’s what I read from the internet in several websites), the device is out of reach for many, but can really up your glam quotient. I’m expecting it to be about RM2,000 to 2,300 in Malaysia.
Saying all above… I think you need to check out live and real by yourself by watching the brief video above. Pretty awesome stuff…
It has been a long time since I performed my last experiment. Now, I finally had the opportunity to run the final segment of my experiments. If everything is smooth and super cool, I may require 2 weeks.
However, if there are problems and hiccups, I may need longer amount of time. At the same time I hope all equipments that I am going to use will be in perfect condition. Among them are the heating tape, power control of the heating tape, syringe pump, quartz reactor, data logger machine, mass flow controller, digital flow meter and gas chromatography. I also hope that the gasses that I used will be sufficient for my experiment and also for the GC to run. The gasses I refer are helium, compressed air and hydrogen.
I hope and pray that my experiment will produce good, reliable and reproducible result. Yeah…I need to continue working smart and hard… Combined and integrate both working ethics and hope for a miracle synergy.
I’m extremely proud to announce that I have successfully created a simple Android App for my business site JBCool.com. This is indeed another stepping stone and success for my business, for the time being. The process to develop the app is pretty much straight forward since the website/blog is available.
The slightly difficult part is when I want to publish it in Google Play Store. Some configurations are required and finally I need to pay $25 to Google. Since I don’t have Google wallet (what a shame!!!), I paid using my own mastercard. After this I need to explore about Google wallet and start using it at the correct place.
So far up to this moment (writing this post) there are already 7 downloads of the JBCool android app. That is in the first day. Let’s see how it goes in one month time.
Now, I’m going to work on developing the app for iphone and other apple product. Let’s just see how it goes. For those of you, I personally invite you to download JBCool android app and get fresh update on what’s happening in Johor Bahru… Huyeahhh
I’m terribly sorry that I have not been available in Cyza Sector for quite some time especially after my UK trip. Honestly, I’ve been a little bit tight up with my Ph.D and the fasting month. Now that the Edi Mubarak has emerged, I am now a little bit free, at least during this week, due to the break. However, after that, I’ll be busy again due to completing my experiment, Ph.D, getting new born baby and many more.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and everybody of you a prosperous and glorious Hari Raya. I hope you can happily celebrate Hari Raya with your love ones.
As for me and my family, we are presently at Kampung Permatang Badak, Kuantan where my inlaws are occupying for several years already. The temperature here is extremely warm in from morning to late afternoon but miraculously becomes very cold at night. We have arrived year last Thursday and we will probably return back to Johor Bahru on the 3rd or 4th Raya. Besides that I’m looking forward to watch the first Manchester United versus Everton game and Goodison Park, Liverpool.
I have kept myself busy with several new social apps in my 1 year 3 months old Samsung Galaxy Ace Android smart phone. To some of you maybe I am a little bit late in beta testing several new apps. I have just installed and tested instagram, tumblr and flickr. Then I linked them all together so that lets say I post a photo in Instagram, the new photo will immediately be posted in Cyza Sector’s Facebook, Cyza Sector’s Twitter, Cyza Sector’s Tumblr, Cyza’s Sector’s Flickr on top of the Instagram itself. I found it very interesting and amazing. Now, I’m kind of exploring on how I can link it to Cyza Sector wordpress blog. However, the super slow broadband that I’m presently subscribing is very slow and it takes basically ages for me to get any website fully open in my white Toshiba laptop.
