I hope I’m not too late to wish all of you a very happy and prosperous new year. I hope 2010 will open a new chapter in our lives, create better opportunities and trigger better success.

Normally, as we hit a new year, we are kept busy thinking and planning what will be our new goals. I visited few blogs and the new year resolution are the main topic discussed. Well, that’s fine as long as they are happy. Haha….

Let’s reverse a little… I have my reasons to believe that December 2009 was a very hectic month for me. I had 3 pillars of weight I’m carrying around which are (1) my phd proposal to dwell with (2) my consultancy project lingering around my head and (3) my IEM year end report to be submitted -  done that. Those are the main. I also have sub-tasks plus responsibilities that I need to cater such as technical paper writing and presenting them in local conferences in Penang and Trengganu, my kids school preparations, visit by in-laws to our house, our maid away on her semester break and others. Then there comes my hobbies… make money blogging, homestay business, gempaknewbie.com, attending smartblogging seminar, enjoying several nasi ayam penyet dinner with my blogger and IM colleagues, began my TNX adventure, social activities with FuhyooFM + attempt to be a deejay!!! and others… Gosh, that’s a lot to fulfill in a single month. Luckily I managed to go through all of them with flying colours… haha…fuhhh….

Hence, I hardly had the time to wonder and strategize my goals for the new year. When did I realize this? I mean the fact that I haven’t set any goals for 2010…

Well, yesterday, on the first day of January 2010, I called my mother, wishing her a wonderful happy new year. Then I asked her about her new year resolution. Without any delay she answered that she already had her new year resolution set up based on the Islamic calender year which has just passed a few weeks ago. It was Awal Muharram (Islamic New year 3 weeks ago), remember.

OK, here is her Islamic new year resolution:

To consistently perform repent prayer (solat sunat taubat). She specifically mentioned repent prayer, but I believed she intended to also highlight Qiamullail (night prayers) which is an integration between Tahajud, Taubat and Hajat prayers added with zikr. She said nowadays people easily die. So, it is better to prepare for it.

Then she asked me about my new year resolution?

I said I was too busy to think about one. Then she suggested one:

To be more balance. Balance between the present world and the day after

Then it strike me back. That was indeed my resolution for 2009. I wanted to be a balance human being. Balance between my physical, spiritual, family etc. So, I guess, I’m just basically recycling my goals from last year.

So, what about you?

I’ve stated mind there and I believe you have at least one in your head. If you don’t, I don’t mind you having the same exact type of goal that I have. It’s a wise one and I hope could help us flow through 2010.

InsyaAllah saya sekeluarga akan berbuka puasa di rumah orang tua saya di JB pada hari ini. Mungkin berterawih di sana dan selepas itu bersama-sama menyaksikan perlawanan antara Manchester United dengan Wigan secara life. Tengok je lah mana-mana yang sempat.

Oh yea, mungkin ada yang pelik, apahal si Cyza ni tiba-tiba blogging atau berceloteh dalam bahasa ibunda pulak? Well, saya nak rilex lah, sekali-sekala belasah bahasa melayu pulak. Bahasa English saya yang tak berapa OK tu kekadang memakan energy dan masa untuk saya go through dan edit sikit-sikit balik. Bukan bererti bahasa Melayu tak payah edit, tapi lebih santai dan rileks.

Saya minta maaf sebab belum sempat-sempat upload gambar dan detail report pasal trip saya sekerluarga ke Kota Kinabalu Sabah minggu lepas. Kalau ikutkan, genap seminggu lepas, saya sekeluarga menyewa kereta dan berjalan-jalan di Kundasang dan juga kaki Gunung Kinabalu. Tak sempat dan takde upaya nak mendaki dek kerana stamina yang tak ready dan juga sebab membawa 3 askar kecil. Well, perhaps next time, we’ll prepared ourselves to climb the higest mountain in south east Asia tu. InsyaAllah.

Saya pun tengah menggunakan masa-masa terluang saya ini untuk membaca buku terbaru Catzer yang dia edar-edarkan iaitu SistemAutoresponder. Baru baca dah dapat terlalu banyak input. Rasa-rasanya, saya akan dapat set-upkan autoresponder saya before Raya ini. Maklumlah, saya pun student lagi belajar phd…dan ada 3 anak dan 1 bini nak dilayan…huhu… Tapi autoresponder yang saya nak set-up adalah untuk bisnes saya yang lain lah…

OK, itu je, sekali lagi saya ucapkan selamat berpuasa dan beribadah…

As a proud citizen of Johor Bahru, I ensured my family and I to go to various spots around the city we dwell. Last week, we planned to go to the new Wilayah Pembangunan Iskandar (WPI), but before we reach there, we saw Setia Eco Garden, a brand new housing estate develop under Sri Setia Sdn Bhd. I could not resist the greenery and beauty of the area and immediately diverted to Setia Eco Garden and parked our car. There we grass and water everywhere… water here means pools, fountains, man made lake etc. The area was super cool. We like it a lot. We visited few show houses and they were impressively decorated. My little soldiers really like the place and they were running everywhere. Should we get a house here? Check out the photos…

What? Anwar Ibrahim accused of sodomy again? Am I hearing this correctly? Honestly, I’m not really a fan of him but to accused him twice after the first accusation 10 years ago seems like a bad political strategy. I don’t know whether it is true or not, but please, not this issue again. Yes, he was an old boy from “Koleq”, MCKK, but please don’t simply associate that with that ill behaviour. After all, do we want our kids to ask what is “liwat“? How do you plan to answer that?

Our country has seen enough of sexual related issue related to higher political profile such as Chua Soi Lek and others… the others are more towards negative rumors… So, let’s not make a big fuss about this issue. Let’s stop all this nonsense bickering.

Ketua Umum PKR, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim berkata laporan polis yang dibuat terhadapnya yang mendakwa beliau telah meliwat seorang kakitanganya, adalah satu rekaan semata-mata.

Dalam satu kenyataannya awal pagi ini, Anwar percayai ia adalah ulangan daripada apa yang berlaku pada 1998 di mana dakwaan yang sama dilemparkan terhadapnya secara paksaan.

Katanya, ia jelas merupakan satu percubaan terdesak regim Barisan Nasional (BN) untuk menyekat pergerakan rakyat Malayaia ke arah kebebasan, demokrasi dan keadilan.

Laporan tersebut dibuat oleh mangsa yang berusia 23 tahun di balai polis Jalan Travers jam 6 petang tadi. Ketua Polis Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Muhammad Sabtu Osman mengesahkan laporan tersebut dibuat.

PKR telah menghantar SMS mengatakan bahawa polis telah menahan pembantu Anwar, Saiful Bahari petang semalam dan memaksanya membuat laporan polis yang dia diliwat oleh Anwar.

Ia menambah, polis dijangka menangkap Anwar tidak lama lagi.

Menurut kenyataan itu lagi, Anwar berkata laporan tersebut diatur oleh pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan untuk “menyerangnya” sebagai tindak balas terhadap bukti yang diperolehinya, yang membabitkan Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Musa Hassan dan Peguam Negara, Tan Sri Gani Patail berhubung salahlaku,termasuk mereka bukti dalam kes-kes terhadapnya pada 1998-1999.

Bagaimanapun, tegas Anwar, perbuatan tersebut tidak akan menghalang beliau daripada mendedahkan perkara itu kepada orang ramai.
Tegakkan keadilan

Sehubungan itu, beliau menggesa rakyat Malaysia menentang kuasa tekanan dari pihak kerajaan dalam tempoh beberapa hari dan minggu-minggu yang akan datang.

Anwar berkata, pihaknya menjangka pihak media, badan kehakiman dan pasukan polis akan dikawal oleh pihak eksekutif.

Sebagai susulan kepada pilihanraya umum 8 Mac lalu, Anwar menegaskan bahawa rakyat mesti meningkatkan kekuatan dan kesungguhan ke arah mencapai kebebasan dan keadilan untuk semua rakyat.

Sementara itu, semakin ramai penyokong Anwar kini berkumpul di Hotel Quality Shah Alam awal pagi ini ekoran satu laporan polis oleh seorang kakitangannya yang mendakwa dilihat oleh Ketua Umum PKR itu.

Anwar, bekas timbalan perdana menteri dan menteri kewangan, dipecat dari kerajaan pada 1997 kerana didakwa menyalahguna kuasa atau terbabit dalam perbuatan liwat.

Pada 1999, beliau dijatuhkan hukuman penjara enam tahun atas tuduhan salahguna kuasa dan pada tahun 2000, dijatuhkan hukuman sembilan tahun penjara atas tuduhan liwat.

Bagaimanapun, pada 2004, Mahkamah Persekutuan telah membatalkan sabitan hukuman tersebut dan membebaskan Anwar.

Anwar mendakwa tuduhan terhadapnya itu merupakan satu konspirasi politik terhadapnya, tetapi kerajaan menafikannya.

Now that the content from the previous blog has been safely transfered, I’m presently working on understanding the new theme and wordpress 2.5.1. I just installed the 160×600 adsense, myblogloh, alexa rank script and did a little bit tweaking here and there. Yep, need to familiarize myself with the entire system. So far, frankly, I’m not yet comfortable using wordpress 2.5.1. I don’t know whether it is just me not used to it or the latest wordpress version is not friendly enough!

After checking the Alexa ranking and Google PR, cyza.us at this moment, cyza.us has register no Alexa data and zero PR. I’m going to study on how to get my previous PR and other rank from my previous blog to continue with this blog. Any idea? Then, in a few months time, I need to review the overall blog performance. Need to set up a few goals and a distinct clear cut direction as where the blog should be in the near future. Haven’t really thought about that yet.

Allright, I guess that’s it for tonight. Need to spend some quality time with the family and check on some TV program or DVDs. Besides, I don’t want to strain my eye balls… Ok Adios…

Welcome aboard to my new domain, new blog, new dimension. I’m leaving my old domain for some personal reasons which I cannot avoid. Hence, I’m going to continue my musing freely in this blog. I would like to thanks my good buddy, Arm for helping me to move all the contents from my previous blog to this new blog.

Why Cyza.us? I want it to be simple and generic. I have checked other domains but all the domain names that I wanted have been taken. After a few weeks figuring out the name, I finally settled with this name and I’m very pleased with it. Cy will represent cyber while za represents part of my name. Then, after setting up the wordpress blog, the name Cyza Sector came out of no where.

I want to further develop this blog and bring it to the highest level as humanly possible. I want to improve the rank. I’m not yet sure what rank will this blog have now, I haven’t check yet, but my previous blog had a Google Page Rank of 4. So, I need to make Cyza.us equal or better than that as soon as possible.

I welcome anybody who want to so some link exchange with me. I welcome anybody any pay per post in this blog. OK, that’s it for now. It’s a nice warm sun shiny Saturday, and I’m going to bring my family out in a 5 minutes. Have a nice weekend to all of you…

This will be a super brief update.

We began our journey roughly about 9.00 am from Skudai, Johor and reached Kangar, Perlis at about 6.00 pm. That’s about 9 hours journey including one stoppage for refueling and one for lunch and toilet stuffs.

We landed at Hotel Putra Palace, Kangar, Perlis and just checked in. This 4 star rated is the best hotel in Perlis. I’ll make a review on it later. In a short while, we’ll be having dinner somewhere nearby this hotel.

As soon as I checked in the hotel, I asked about the internet facilities. The recep told me that they have wifi facilities charged at RM10 per day only available at the hotel lobby. She gave me the hotel wifi password and asked me to test it first, pay later. In our room, we switched on the laptop and found 6 wireless lines available around us. We tried connecting to one which was not secured and ….. you know the rest… we’re connected… That’s why now I’m still online. We don’t need to use the hotel wifi. There are somebody outside there who’re generous enough to allow us to share a piece of their wireless internet. (We save RM10 and I don’t have to go down to the lobby to surf )

I can also witness Manchester United extend their lead by trashing Liverpool 3-0 in front of my eyes.

Will we enjoy this free wifi in Awana Porto Malai Langkawi? I don’t know yet. I hope we can…

Money spent so far

It would be interesting to share how much we’ve spent so far, isn’t it? Following is the very rough estimate on our expenditure:

1. PLUS Tol from Skudai to Perlis : RM105

2. Lunch etc at PLUS R & R Sungai Perak : RM 25

3. Dinner at Restaurant Pokok Tui, Kangar: RM 20

4. Hotel deposit – credit card. Not in used yet.

5. Fuel : RM 85 at Esso Petrol station, PLUS R & R Rawang, Selangor. I did not include the initial petrol as we started the journey.

6. Fuel saver : RM 6

Total so far: RM 241.00

Tomorrow, more money will be spent, for ferry fares, renting a car, food etc. Let’s just see how it goes tomorrow

1. I’m not going to be able to blog for the coming few days. Reason:

We’re going off to Kuala Perlis (University Malaysia Perlis, Unimap) and then to Langkawi tomorrow. We’ve booked 2 nights at Awana Porto Malai, Langkawi. I’ll definitely make a review on our vacation as soon as we return home. It will be probably different from the one that Mael went through last January (He went with his friends and no kids).

2. I still have more to tell about our Melaka trip, but unfortunately I haven’t had the time to post those entry.

3. I haven’t had sufficient sleep for for the past few days. To make things worst, God tested us. My wife fainted last night and I’ve to bring her to a nearby clinic and she was dripped. We stayed at the clinic from 12.00 AM to 3.30 AM. It took almost 3 hours to fully empty out that water bottle (for dripping). 5 hours after that, I went off for work!!!

4. We planned to go to my friends wedding at Royal Johor Country Club (RJCC) today. However, my wife is not fit, therefore we have to cancel the idea of witnessing a beautiful wedding.

Barisan : 229 State seats - Won Johor, Sabah, Pahang, Malacca, Terengganu, Perlis & Negeri Sembilan.

Opposition: 134 State seats – Won Selangor, Perak, Penang, Kedah & Kelantan.

What do you think about the result? Were they shocking? Did you expected that? It’s truly shocking for us… It shocked everybody. However, Barisan Nasional will still form the next Government as it has won more than half the parliamentary seats. However, the coalition suffered some of the greatest defeats in its history. Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, in accepting the results, said this was clear proof of democracy at work in the country.

Among the results yesterday were:

• The Barisan lost Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor,
• PAS strengthened grip on Kelantan,
• Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting won in their seats,
• Among ministers who lost their seats were Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu, Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil (Go Izzah go… ), Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin,
• Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon lost to Dr P. Ramasamy in the Batu Kawan parliamentary seat.

I’ve carried out my responsibility yesterday by voting somewhere in Johor Bahru after work. The voting when smooth and easy. What I can say now is the results are very very interesting and surprising. A number of BN top guns defeated and a number of states taken over by the opposition. I just hope this can lead to a better and improved situation of the nation. The Parliament is going to be filled with more opposition members and we hope they can work, discuss and debate fruitfully together with the ruling party in order to create a more prosperous and peaceful country.
