Repairing Our Proton Waja Door Lock
My wife brought our Proton Waja to the Proton service center nearby our house for repair today. After surveying two workshops nearby, she decided to repair the door lock there after discussing with me via the phone. Seems like the service center could offer a cheaper price than other workshops, at about RM250 per set. I didn’t know that small little door lock could cost that much. The other workshops could offer a price in the range of RM300-400 per set. Quite costly, isn’t it.
The door lock has to be repaired immediately because according to the mechanics, it is absolutely suicidal to drive around and park anywhere with the door lock gaping like that, exposing its inner parts, which is very tempting to people with evil heart. With such limited time, we don’t have much time to survey more, therefore we decided just go on with the Proton service center.
After checking out the color code of our car at approximately 12noon, the mechanics asked my wife to go back home first. It will take quite a long time to prep the door lock for the assembly, according to him. It actually took nearly 6 hours!! At 6pm her hand phone finally rang and it took only half an hour to be assembled. Now the door is perfect again, to everyone’s relief. It cost us RM250, but we are still relieve because we still have our own beloved car with us.
