email-marsya

My father cc the email above to me while replying to Marsya. It was Marsya’s first email to her grandfather after learning about email last week. I love to read this email because it shows the interaction between a 6 year old kid with her 64 year old grandfather. The age gap is 58 years and how amazing technology can connect them both.

Marsya sent the email yesterday and she waited for Tokwan (grandfather) to reply fast. However, we have to inform that Tokwan can only reply tomorrow (today) when he is in office. Today, Tokwan replied and I witness this miracle and I’m very happy.

The sentence highlighted in blue is written by Marsya. In English in sound:

Grandfather, how are you doing? If you are healthy, Marsya will be happy.

Was that cute? My father replied:

I’m good Marsya. Thanks for this email. I’ll pray that you can be clever and grow quickly so that you can go to school. I love it when my grandchildren can often email me.

The reply was equally cute for me…

Chocolate!

Everybody has his or her own favourite chocolate. My wife loves chocolate so much. Well, normally women/girl loves chocolate more than their guy counterpart. As for me, I have my own favourite chocolate. I’ve discovered this chocolate when I was studying in UK. Since that, this chocolate, Maltesers, has become my favourite choice.

In Malaysia, I rarely buy Maltesears because it is not widely available and the price is slightly on the higher side. Last Sunday, I decided to celebrate nothing by buying Maltesers. My kids never tried it before. They are only used to consume large size Cadbury chocolate with almond and tool them few minutes to throw the wrappers into the dustbin. Sometimes, or maybe rather every week, they demanded us to buy Kinder Joy and we have to buy 3. Why 3… Because there is Ikhwan, Marsya and Alya. Sharing is not enough…haha… Once in a while we buy different types of other chocolates and together we eat them…

But, after this I can say my kids will request us to buy Maltesers on a weekly basis…hehe…

Have you tried Maltesers? Get a packet now for your partner…he/she will like it and love you more… :)

This is a new movie that has just been release and are currently available in major cinemas but with maybe no promotions at all. Not like transformers, 2012 and Avatar which were massively promoted like nobodies business.

We (me and my wife) coincidentally walked to MBO in Giant Pulai Utama and spotted a new movie casted by John Travolta. The title reads “From Paris With Love”. I thought it was a romantic comedy movie, but the poster suggested it might be an action pack movie because Travolta was holding a bazooka while the other co-star was holding a Beretta  92. Well, let’s watch this movie… My wife told me. We looked at the show time and the timing is just perfect. It will be showing in the next 10 minutes. We bought the ticket and at the counter we saw that there were only 3 people including us buying the tickets.

I’m not going to tell you the story line because you can read it here. But I’ll just share with you what I feel about the movie.

It was initially unclear what is happening. James Reece appeared first but I was unsure whether he is the good or bad guy. But soon after that we know he is one of the good guys but still unclear who is he reporting to.

Then, Travolta came in the picture as Charlie Wax. He looks like a crazy guy and he is the partner of Reece.

Reece is new in the business but Wax is very impressive. He knows the strategy and game plan. He is very good in martial arts and likes to use various types of weapons. Travolta looks very cool. I think I also want to be as cool as him :) .

There are definitely lots of shooting, drugs and killings. The story is not that complicated. It’s the type of movie that you want to watch to relax from your busy and tight schedule. After the movie, I can get back to my work as usual.

However, I don’t really like the storyline because it, again, involves terrorist and shows the bad side of the Muslims…the fundamental hard core…

But Travolta is such a cool macho guy… one of my favourite actor

Overall personal rating: 3.5 star ;)

After a long wait, finally, the secret card safely arrived at my wife’s office on a calm Friday 2 weeks ago. My wife was so surprised that she SMSed me while I was sitting in the mosque listening to the Imam/Khatib “berkhutbah” to check was it really from me?!!

I got the idea to register and send a card via enveluv.com after reading Mael’s entry early February. Practically, we do not celebrate Valentines Day, but it was February, and at the same time enveluv.com has limited theme/card option to be delivered. The options are still up to now only “Valentines Day Card”, “Birthday Card”, “Thank You Card” and “Christmas Card”. so, I chose the Valentines Day card because the others are totally unnecessary. Check out the card below…

My wife love to hang all of the cards I gave her in her office ;)

Oh… If you want to send a card to your love ones, check out enveluv.com. It’s FREE… Registration is simple, just hit “send a card” and then register yourself. After that, you can choose which card to send. Then you’ll have to type in the wordings… all by yourself. Make sure you mention your name after what ever you’ve written because envelop.com will copy exactly the text you type in. I forgot to include my name “cik abang” at the end of my text…. Luckily my wife knows it’s from me…he he.. :) Do you think I’m romantic?
